Browser focus

Apr 1, 2010 at 3:44 PM

I like this application very much, but I find that after choosing the browser to open the link, the selected browser instance is not brought in the front, so there is an inconvenience of manually selecting the browser to view the opened link.

Is it possible to make this automatically in a future release?

Kind regards,

That's odd, it always brings the browser to the front for me... what OS are you running it on?

I'm running on Windows 7 Enterprise.

Does this happen across the board, i.e. with all browsers?

(just realized that this post was from April - my apologies if it has been resolved.)

I have tested this on a Windows 7 Ent client. I can confirm that in my setup (with me logged in as the administrator over RDP) had the following symptoms:

  • Internet explorer does not come to focus when you click on it. Now browser was open at the time.
  • leaving that window open, i went back to OL2010 and clicked the same link. This time is loaded a new window if IE and in focus.
  • Firefox loaded the window and put it in focus. Clicking it again loaded that window in the same window as a second tab.

Happy to keep testing for you as i would love to see this get more developped.
