The app still works, but once done it continues with a process (no GUI of course).

Currently I am using a scheduled task that runs every 15 minutes that does taskkill /f /im Browser* to keep my memory utilization under control.

Any suggestions or anyone else see this?
Created Issue: System.NullReferenceException [6911]

New build, 1.0.15 is broke on Win7 x64.

1.0.9 works just fine.

With 1.0.15 I keep getting this crash:

Description:
Stopped working

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name:	CLR20r3
Problem Signature 01:	browser chooser.exe
Problem Signature 02:	1.0.16.23847
Problem Signature 03:	4f68f352
Problem Signature 04:	Browser Chooser
Problem Signature 05:	1.0.16.23847
Problem Signature 06:	4f68f352
Problem Signature 07:	64
Problem Signature 08:	34
Problem Signature 09:	System.NullReferenceException
OS Version:	6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
Locale ID:	1033
Created Issue: Need For Speed World = Crash [6910]

Hi,

Seems Browser Chooser breaks Need For Speed World:

2012-04-25 03:11:57,120 [1] INFO GameLauncher.ProdUI.Program --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2012-04-25 03:11:57,127 [1] INFO GameLauncher.ProdUI.Program
2012-04-25 03:11:57,127 [1] INFO GameLauncher.ProdUI.Program Starting application: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Need For Speed World\GameLauncher.exe
2012-04-25 03:11:57,127 [1] INFO GameLauncher.ProdUI.Program OS Version: Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1
2012-04-25 03:11:57,127 [1] INFO GameLauncher.ProdUI.Program Locale: en-US
2012-04-25 03:11:57,127 [1] INFO GameLauncher.ProdUI.Program Time Zone: UTC-04:00:00 (Eastern Daylight Time)
2012-04-25 03:11:57,129 [1] INFO GameLauncher.ProdUI.Program Version: 1.8.40.857
2012-04-25 03:11:57,129 [1] INFO GameLauncher.ProdUI.Program Logging level: INFO
2012-04-25 03:11:58,970 [1] INFO GameLauncher.ProdUI.GameLauncherUI HTTP: D:\666\Appz\Browser Chooser.exe %1
2012-04-25 03:11:58,977 [1] ERROR GameLauncher.ProdUI.Program Main Exception: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at GameLauncher.ProdUI.GameLauncherUI.RetrieveWebApplicationData()
at GameLauncher.ProdUI.GameLauncherUI..ctor(String[] args)
at GameLauncher.ProdUI.Program.Main(String[] args)

Any chance this could be fixed?

Thanks,

Will
New Post: Error: Browser Chooser has Stopped Working

Ok, finally got it. At some point I had switched to portable mode, so I was editing the wrong copy of BrowserChooserConfig.xml.

This is a highly specific scenario, however I think there could still be a fix. I'm running a Mac OS host with a Windows 7 guest OS via Parallels. Parallels offers a feature where you can launch Mac OS applications from within the Windows environment. Really,
it creates a simplified executable within a users home directory that points to the .app in Mac OS, which loads the application when selected from anywhere in Windows - for example, the start menu.

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Parallels\Shared Applications\Google Chrome (Mac).exe would be an example of one of these .exe wrappers.

Setting Browser Chooser to point to these "fake" .exe's will in fact launch the application.
However, here is my problem. The URL of whatever was selected within Windows does not get passed along to the chosen browser and instead acts as if it's launching the application or switching to it if it's already active.

Any thoughts on how to get the URL to cross over to the selected browser?

Thanks,

-Paul

I tried to be slick and make the file read only, but then it FCs BC on ever run, whether manually run or loading via a clicked link.

FWIW: that file is located (on Windows 7 machines) in:
